About customs duties
Customs duties are mandatory fees charged by the state for transporting goods across the customs border of the Republic of Armenia.
Individuals must pay customs duties when the value of goods for personal use sent via international postal parcels exceeds 200 euros or 31 kg. According to current regulations:
- If the cargo exceeds the monetary threshold, a customs fee of 15% is charged on the difference between the cargo’s value and the permissible threshold.
- If the cargo exceeds the weight limit, the customs duty is 15% of the part of the value above 200 euros, or 2 euros per excess kilogram, whichever is higher.
Customs duties for business cargo are calculated individually.

Frequently asked questions
How is the chargeable weight calculated?
We compare the actual weight with the volumetric weight (L × W × H in cm ÷ 6000) and you pay for the higher one, by the exact weight, never rounded.
Why is the rate in dollars but the payment in drams?
The rate is $7.70/kg (billed by the pound at $3.50/lb); the amount in drams is calculated at the Central Bank of Armenia exchange rate of the day.
When will I receive my parcel?
In 7–14 working days, counted from the day of the flight.
Who pays customs duty?
Customs duty is a state fee charged when a parcel exceeds the 200 euro or 31 kg limits. Each parcel is calculated separately, using its actual weight.
